Destiny 2 is undergoing a major update. On November 18, the developers announced the full patch notes, showing drastic changes in super spawning, stagnation, skill cooling, etc.

If those changes weren’t enough, Bungie announced a massive batch of patch notes on November 18, which will be releasing to the server on December 7 alongside Bungie’s Anniversary Content Pack. The balance correction will be applied to all players, regardless of whether or not they have purchased Anniversary Content.

Below is a full breakdown of Destiny 2‘s update predictions, which are expected to have a significant impact on PvP and PvE superlatives, stagnation, and ability cooling. Remember that while the patch is being deployed, the server will be down for maintenance.

Dec 16 2021-

Today, December 16, hotfix was released to the world. This patch resolves several issues, which can be found in more issues listed below.

Dec 15 2021-

Today there is a brand new update for Destiny 2 at 10:00 AM PST (1800 UTC). The game will be subject to background maintenance. Downtime is not expected. This new update will prepare the game for fixes, which will be released on December 16th. At the time of this writing, there are no patch notes for this patch, but it may fix the Forerunner Exotic sidearm previously available for free ammo through the Sidearm Reserves modplate mod.

December 7, 2021-

Destiny 2 Update 3.4.0 patch notes are now available. We are currently adding them to this page, right below.

Dec 6 2021-

We can potentially expect the final patch notes for Destiny 2 Update 3.4.0 to be released tomorrow, December 7, 2021, a few hours before the 30th Anniversary Update. Once you share the patch notes, we will definitely update this page as soon as possible.

December 3, 2021-

Bungie has announced that the full “Destiny 2” 3.4.0 patch notes will be released early next Tuesday morning for players to read. Given the length of the proposed changes, this could be a huge list.

The TWAB blog also revealed the final preview of the upcoming changes, focusing on QOL improvements that players have been asking for for some time. We won’t be adding them here because we may also wait for the full patch notes that will be released next week. December 2, 2021-

Later today (November 8), at 10:00 AM PST (1800 UTC), Destiny 2 will be undergoing background maintenance. Server downtime is not expected. This will prepare for Bungie’s 3.4.0 update release, which has been confirmed for release on December 7. But at the moment, aside from a lengthy This Week At Bungie blog post published in a few weeks, there is currently no confirmed patch note for this update.

November 19 2021-

The latest blog post titled “This Week At Bungie” announced that as part of the “Destiny 2 Anniversary Update” coming out on December 7, the game will undergo several changes. There are many things to consider, but the main news is that Bungie will be making major changes to professional and super abilities. In general, most changes are planned for PVP, but it appears that PVE has not changed fundamentally. The scope of the changes is wide, and this is a long blog post.
